Tobi Konitzer | Founder & CEO

Tobi has a Ph.D. from Stanford University, and has a background in researching public opinion at the forefront of Machine Learning, leveraging a plethora of disparate data streams including: everything from cell-phone telemetry data to survey data to behavioral news consumption data. Tobi has published his work widely both in the academic and popular press, and his research has been covered by The New York Times, The Atlantic, etc. Before founding PredictWise, Tobi was part of Facebook Research.

David Rothschild | Chief Scientist & Cofounder

David has a Ph.D. in applied economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He has written extensively, in both the academic and popular press. His work pushes the boundaries on varying data and methods: polling, prediction markets, social media and online data, and large behavioral and administrative data. His work focuses on solving the most relevant applied questions including: mapping and updating public opinion, the market for news, effect of advertising, finance, and an economist take on public policy.

Jeff Quinn | Head of Technology & Data Infrastructure

Jeff Quinn is a data engineer specializing in distributed computing. He has vast managerial experience, and a deep desire for progressive change. Jeff has worked at a variety of early stage technology companies including Outvote.io, BlueVoyant, and NunaHealth.

Gabrielle Cardoza | Head of Marketing & Strategy

Gabrielle is a Bay Area native & experienced advertising professional. She developed her multifaceted skills through her experience working in both traditional brand marketing & media strategy. In past roles she has contributed to: Voters Not Politicians, ACLU California, AFSCME, SEIU, Governor & former Presidential candidate Jay Inslee & several California ballot propositions. As a 1st generation American, daughter of refugee Central American immigrants & native Spanish speaker Gabrielle is proud to be a Latinx in the digital space.

Greg Beswick | Senior Sales Lead

Greg has nearly 20 years of campaign experience that includes serving as the Executive Director of the Ohio Democratic Party, managing statewide and congressional campaigns, and senior-level experience on presidential campaigns. In the past, Greg worked in the U.S. Congress and the office of the Ohio Attorney General, and founded his own consulting firm. He is currently active in the Association of State Democratic Executive Directors as the co-Vice President. Greg has a BA. in political science from the Ohio State University and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University.

Nikhil Garg | Principal Data Scientist

Nikhil recently graduated with a Ph.D from Stanford University and is a researcher at the intersection of computer science, economics, and operations. He has worked extensively as a data scientist with several online marketplaces and civic engagement platforms, including on the design of survey and rating systems, surge pricing, and how to vote on budgets. He has also analyzed stereotypes in word embeddings and polarization on Twitter, and is focused on solving practical problems in a principled manner.

Giovanna Fernandes | Data Scientist

Giovanna is a Data Scientist switching careers after several years in Communications. She is a graduate from Flatiron School Data Science Bootcamp and has written on a variety of Data Science topics for Towards Data Science, The Startup, and Level Up Coding. Before joining PredictWise she has worked for clients such as Shutterstock, Listerine, Johnsons Baby, Aveeno, HP and Bank of Brazil. She has been involved in social equity and racial justice organizations for many years. Giovanna is enthusiastic about using data analysis and machine learning to effect change and make the world better, one algorithm at a time.

Whitney Sales | Managing Partner Acceleprise Ventures

Whitney has 10+ years of startup sales experience and is the founder of The Sales Method, a consultancy that helps startups identify target markets, build successful sales teams and quickly get products to market. She led four companies to the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list including LoopNet, Joby, Meltwater and SpringAhead. Whitney graduated with honors with a BA in Sociology from UCSD. Whitney is advising PredictWise on sales and overall strategy and business development.

Dr. Andrew Gelman | Professor of statistics & political science, Columbia University

Andrew Gelman is a professor of statistics and political science and director of the Applied Statistics Center at Columbia University. He has received the Outstanding Statistical Application award from the American Statistical Association, the award for best article published in the American Political Science Review, and the Council of Presidents of Statistical Societies award for outstanding contributions by a person under the age of 40. Andrew advises PredictWise on its bleeding-edge analytics.

Mark Brenner

Mark Brenner | WEST CEO/Co-Founder

Mark Brenner was co-founder and CEO of Prevue/TV Guide Interactive, the market leading interactive television program guide reaching over 40 million homes; TVG, the first on-line and television wagering network currently handling over $2 billion in transactions; and Vidavee, a SaaS platform that pioneered on-line and mobile video and advertising sold to Vignette/Open Text.
